Effective Monday, February 16, 2015 anyone that is not a DoD card holder will be required to pass a mini background check before being allowed access to the Ft. McNair Base (including employees and members). All non DoD card holders will be directed to the 2nd St. gate (located at the rear of the compound) to complete the screening. Once the person passes the screening he/she will receive a temporary card good for 4 days and given information on how to apply for a DoD Identification card.
